FC Boulder and YMCA of Boulder Valley have launched Boulder Valley Youth Soccer, a collaboration that unites the youth soccer programs from both organizations under one umbrella. Boulder Valley Youth Soccer will be the largest youth soccer entity in Boulder County.

Boulder Valley Youth Soccer’s programs will begin with the upcoming fall season and will include a range of offerings: from introductory soccer programs for players as young as 3 years old through recreational leagues for players through 18 years.

“FC Boulder is the premier soccer club in Boulder County – specializing in player development and promotion of love for the game of soccer,” says Adam Hayes, FC Boulder Executive Director. “The YMCA is one of the most trusted organizations in the country focusing on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The collaboration between our two organizations is sure to provide a new standard of player enrichment, player development and customer service. We are really excited to get started!”

Boulder Valley Youth Soccer will provide players of all levels and ages with developmentally appropriate playing opportunities and coaches with resources and player development education. Through this collaborative effort, parents and athletes will have an easier, more consistent experience from year-to-year and will benefit from the knowledge and history of both organizations.

To the partnership, FC Boulder brings soccer expertise from high caliber coaches as well as robust competitive soccer leagues. The YMCA brings an established introductory soccer program that emphasizes youth development and building a love for the game. Together, Boulder Valley Youth Soccer will extensively support players from the first time they touch the ball until the last game of their youth soccer careers.

“We are thrilled to partner with FC Boulder, which has an incredible reputation as an elite soccer program,” says Jamie Holstein, YMCA of Boulder Valley Senior Vice President of Operations. “Our staff, coaches, players and parents will now gain the benefit of their soccer and instruction knowledge while still receiving the YMCA’s focus on fun, character, teamwork and sportsmanship.”

Boulder Valley Youth Soccer’s website launched July 1. It will be the central registration hub for all Boulder Valley Youth Soccer programs. Soccer leagues will practice and play throughout the Boulder County community, including Boulder, Longmont, Superior and Lafayette.
