Natural Movement Drop-in Classes

Whether you are recovering, reviving your wellness practice or learning to move better, these classes allow you to feel more comfortable in your body. From functional fitness and balance work to combating a neurodegenerative condition, it’s all about maximizing your movement and pushing your body’s potential.

Class Schedule

Align and Restore 

In this class you will focus on the fundamentals of alignment, refining your technique and building a strong foundation with both postures and breath work. This class is perfect for those new to yoga, individuals healing from injury or illness, or those looking for a more gentle class.

Balls, Bosu & Balance 

This class uses stability balls, BOSU balls and other equipment to enhance balance and challenge coordination.

Better Balance 

A class that is designed to enhance balance and stability in people of all ages. The first half of the class goes over basic static and dynamic balance and stability exercises, the second half of the class is dedicated to utilizing tai chi inspired movement patterns to inspire healthy movement patterns via muscle memory and to add a bit of complexity and cognitive loading into the weight shifting patterns associated with tai chi and life. A very enjoyable, social class that will leave feeling challenged and refreshed. 

Foundations: A Parkinson’s & Multiple Sclerosis Fitness Program 

This class incorporates exercises that target specific deficits and focuses on strength, balance and flexibility. The exercises are enhanced to include cognition, voice and fun.

Functional Strength Training 

A class for those that would like to strengthen, define and sculpt their physique. Work out with a personal trainer in a small group setting (maximum of 6 participants). This is a progressive program that will also focus on muscle imbalances and flexibility using a variety of techniques making your workouts fun, effective and time efficient.

Movement Patterns for All

This intermediate class focuses on restoring the strength, balance, mobility and agility needed to move smoothly through space - whether getting up and down from ground,  walking with a strong and smooth stride, confidently crawling about in the garden or removing limbs from a tree. This is the fitness class you have been looking for!

Senior Fundamentals 

A great way to get started for beginning exercisers, or the place to stay if you prefer a smaller classroom setting. A chair is provided for seated and/or standing support.

Stretch, Roll & Recover 

This is a 30-minute class focused on helping your body recover from exercise and day-to-day overuse using self-myofascial techniques utilizing the foam rollers, stretching and other relaxation techniques.
