The University of Colorado Law School’s Immigration Defense Clinic is providing free legal services to recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) who are eligible to renew their DACA status with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. There are approximately 17,000 DACA recipients living in the state of Colorado, and many of them are students in our high schools and universities, or working parents raising their families in our communities.

The fee to renew each DACA grant is $495, and it allows each recipient to receive a deferral of their deportation from the U.S. for a period of two years and to renew their work authorization.

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is acting as a repository for donations for the University of Colorado Law School’s Immigration Defense Clinic’s DACA Public Service Project. If you’d like to give, donate online or send checks to YMCA of Northern Colorado Development Department, 2800 Dagny Way, Lafayette CO 80026. Checks should be made out to YMCA of Northern Colorado with “DACA” on the memo line.
