YMCA Youth Triathlon
The YMCA of Northern Colorado’s youth triathlon programs are designed for young athletes who are ready to learn, to work hard and to grow in the sport of triathlon. Kids will have the opportunity to improve their form, technique, endurance, and speed in swimming, biking, and running.
The YMCA is now offering K-12 triathlon training. Practice with age and grade appropriate groups to better your swimming, biking and running. Our groups participate in time trial style triathlon racing twice a month. If our current practice schedule does not fit with your school and/or work schedule, join our weekend warrior training group. Practice with age and grade appropriate groups on the weekends to better your swimming, biking and running.
Small group training squads will follow social distancing guidelines allowing our triathletes to continue to improve their fitness alongside their teammates and friends while maintaining a safe distance and minimizing contact.
You can also sign up for one-on-one private swim training with a triathlon coach.
Required personal equipment: competition swimsuit, goggles, towel, bicycle, helmet, bike lock, running shoes, socks, two water bottles and/or camelback, snacks, sunscreen, if you have fins bring them (the Y will not be providing fins at this time)
