COVID Refund and Credit Policy for Y Programs (Effective 11/4/2020)

The COVID Refund and Credit Policy for Y Programs supersedes the YMCA of Northern Colorado’s existing refund/credit policy. This policy applies to registration in the following programs: Health/Fitness, Sports, Aquatics, Ice, Preschool, Youth and Teen Programs and Adult Programs. This policy does not apply to Y membership or YMCA Camp Santa Maria.

NEW POLICY

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR

Because of a recent Boulder Valley School District policy change, the Y will not be able to offer before- and after-school programs in BVSD schools. Beginning in the fall of 2021, we will run licensed after-school care in our YMCA facilities in Boulder and Lafayette; our Longmont Y will continue to run a successful after-school program as well. Here are just some of the perks of this new program:

  • Y after-school care will include homework help, active play, STEM projects and all the other programming that is currently offered in schools. Now, we will also offer swimming and sports options.
  • Families that sign up for select plans will receive a free family membership to the Y ($1,089 value). That includes free child watch while you work out, member discounts on Y programs and free fitness classes, including Pilates Reformer, yoga, Zumba and TRX.
  • Along with after-school programs, we will continue to offer School Day Off Camps, Kids Night In/Out and Summer Camps.
  • Your most trusted, certified YMCA staffers will run after-school programs and work to expand family programming and options within our Ys.
  • Our Ys are 5 Star Certified, and we have run safe and secure childcare programs within our branches since the beginning of the pandemic. We are committed to continuing to meet and exceed licensing and county requirements that mitigate risk for your children.
  • In our effort to provide equitable opportunities to access childcare and programs, we accept an unlimited number of CCAP participants. For families that need financial support but do not qualify for CCAP, we can provide donor-funded financial assistance.

We’ve remained committed to local children throughout countless changes — and that dedication will carry on long into the future. We are currently working out bussing options and other details of the program. More information to come.
