CLOSURE UPDATE: Per mandate from Governor Polis, and because it is the right thing to do, our facilities are closed. Check here for COVID-19 updates. We are running licensed summer camps beginning June 1.

We will have care for the 2020/2021 school year. However, due to COVID-19, we do not have details yet. More information to be announced.

The information below was for the 2019/2020 school year. You may review last school year’s offerings to get a sense of our programming, but all of this information is subject to change for 2020/2021.

The YMCA is now offering before and after school care in Johnstown, Milliken and Loveland for the 2019/2020 school year. Our Johnstown, Milliken and Loveland programs will offer families in these communities affordable options for licensed care within local schools.

YMCA Before and After School Programs are all about fun, games, encouraging individuality and nurturing happy, healthy kids. During our programs, students enjoy new experiences, sports and crafts, creative projects and tons of fun! Whether it is time for homework help, exploring science concepts, enjoying outdoor adventures, embracing our silly selves or creating group art projects, the Y believes in safe, supportive programs that foster a community within the school.

Weld RE-5J before and after school programs are held at Pioneer Ridge Elementary and Milliken Elementary.

We meet and sometimes exceed the State of Colorado’s 1 to 15 staff/child ratio requirement — another way we work to assure a positive place for your child. We look forward to your family becoming part of our YMCA family!

Important Registration Information

The YMCA of Northern Colorado has adopted ePACT, a secure emergency network that we use to collect medical and emergency contact information electronically. If you registered after July 1, 2019, you must complete the emergency contact and medical forms in the registration packet as well as fill out your information again on ePACT. Your child will not be able to particpate in Y programs without the required paperwork.

New Late Fee Policy

If you register within two business days of your child’s first day in our program, you will be charged a $70 late fee in addition to the $85 registration fee. The Y is licensed by the State of Colorado, and we must adhere to staffing ratios. Because of this, immediate care may not be available for your child if you register within the two business days of the first day of care and you will be charged the late fee.
