Yes, the YMCA’s preschool programs are licensed through the Colorado Department of Human Services Department of Childcare. They are also reviewed and inspected by local county Health Departments to ensure all rules and regulations are followed.

Visit our Longmont preschool pageLoveland preschool page or Johnstown preschool page and click the register button. You’ll be directed to our registration site. You’ll be prompted to login to complete your transaction. If you’re new to the YMCA of Northern Colorado, you’ll need to create an account. If you’re already a Y member or program participant, be sure to login with your existing account rather than creating a new one.

YMCA financial assistance recipients may register for preschool online after their financial assistance has been approved.

Families utilizing third party billing such as CCAP cannot register online and should contact the Business Office.

Once your registration is received, the director will contact you by phone or email to confirm a start date. Typically, we’ll be ready for you to start within the week unless we have a waitlist for the program. Please note that children with Special Medical Care Plans for health issues or allergies may require additional time for the registration process as medication delegations and processes may need to be secured first.

Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions on age requirements, per licensing guidelines.

All Inspire Preschools, with the exception of our Loveland location, do not require children to be potty-trained Our staff will partner with you on a potty-training plan specific for your child to ensure success for them!

We try to allow for flexibility within schedules, but due to licensing capacities there are some limitations. Please contact the preschool director to discuss your needs.

YMCA Inspire Preschools accept CCAP and provide internal financial assistance for those who qualify. See our Financial Assistance & CCAP page for details. Award amounts are based on income and expenses specific to each family.

When a family has a child who is eligible for UPK, they will apply on the state portal to be “matched” with a preferred provider. During the application process, families will list their top 3 choices of preschool and answer some qualifying questions. The state decides where to place them based on their choices. If they listed a Y Preschool as their first choice, the state will “match” them with our preschool, if space is available. Families will then have a window to accept this match, and then their status will move to “accepted.” Only those who accepted will then be eligible to register for our program. Our directors have access to the UPK portal to check who has accepted. If you have already been matched with YMCA Inspire Preschool and you have accepted, please email us to start the enrollment process.

All children are different, and their needs vary. If your child has identified special needs, the preschool director will be happy to meet with you to better understand your child’s needs and how our program is designed to ensure it’s a good fit. The YMCA carefully reviews IEPs and IFSPs when needed and uses an internal Student Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) to evaluate children’s needs and possible accommodations to ensure success in our programs.
