Youth Smart Start

In order to make sure your child has a safe, healthy experience at the Y, we offer special orientations to teach young members the basics of proper, effective and safe use of cardio and strength equipment. Ages 8-14.

Lil’ Dancers

Children use their imaginations and their bodies to creatively express themselves through movement games, songs and dance.


Shotokan: Traditional Japanese Karate

Increase physical fitness, coordination, confidence, discipline, concentration and knowledge of self-defense skills with Shotokan Traditional Japanese Karate at the Boulder Y. For ages 8+.


La Familia Boxing (Ages 8-16)

Hosted at the Longmont Y, La Familia Boxing teaches kids and teens commitment, dedication, discipline, honor and respect through the sport of boxing. Both boys and girls are welcome to join this program at the Longmont Y to discover a hard-hitting sport that can change lives. Hand wraps are needed to participate.

Monday-Friday, 5:30-7:30pm, Longmont Y

Johnstown Youth Summer Passport Program (Ages 11-15)

Get to know the Johnstown YMCA and all it has to offer while school is out! Pick up a Passport and earn prizes by completing tasks throughout our building. Challenge the staff to fitness competitions, participate in open gym, bring a friend to the Y, or introduce yourself to someone new. New youth fitness classes include youth cycle, youth yoga, youth strength circuit and youth barre fit. See the group exercise schedule for information on dates and times of classes. New cards available on the first of each summer month. Completed cards earn you Y Swag and raffle entries for bigger prizes.
