IMPACT STATEMENT
The Y is a powerful association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurture the potential of youth, promote healthy living and foster a sense of social responsibility.
WHO WE ARE
The YMCA of Northern Colorado is a nonprofit organization that strengthens the foundations of community. We do that through programs that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our core values—caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and inclusion—are woven into our work, our programs and our business practices every single day.
We have served the northern Front Range of Colorado for more than a century, providing a welcoming place to learn new skills, connect with others and access support in times of need. Tens of thousands of youth, families and adults from all walks of life are served annually by our organization across Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, Loveland, Berthoud, Johnstown, Broomfield, Erie and beyond.

OUR THREE AREAS OF IMPACT
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Through the Y, they can build the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. Check out our child care programs, youth enrichment classes, summer camp and more!
HEALTHY LIVING
We are improving the nation’s health and well-being. The Y brings families closer together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Y has been listening and responding to our communities’ most critical needs for more than 170 years. Whether developing skills or emotional well-being, welcoming and connecting diverse populations or advocating for healthier communities, the Y fosters the care and respect all people need and deserve.
WHAT WE OFFER
Our broad range of programs and unique combination of services allows us to provide for the well-being of people of all ages and walks of life. Key program areas include:
AN ORGANIZATION FOR ALL: FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
One in three of our members and program participants receive donor-funded financial assistance to access Y programs. That includes hundreds of campers, preschoolers, after-school program participants, young athletes, middle school students and swimmers. Thanks to the generous support of those who donate to the Y’s Community Support Campaign and our fundraising events, we do our best to offer financial assistance to those who cannot afford the full fee.
At the Y, we work diligently to provide a level playing field, literally and figuratively, for today’s youth, ensuring that all kids have the resources and support to grow and thrive. Financial assistance is available for membership, childcare, summer camp and most programs. We encourage anyone in need to reach out and apply.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the YMCA of Northern Colorado is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
