1844 YMCA

A new entity, 1844 YMCA, is being created to provide administrative services to member Ys across the country. Services will include finance, human resources, information technology, risk management, customer transactions and reporting, facilities and procurement and more. These services will be provided at varying levels depending on the needs of the customer Ys. The YMCA MSO (The Managed Service Organization Implementation Project) is being expressly designed to help participating Ys be more sustainable, elevate the way they do business, and will allow the Y to be more mission-focused.

Vice President of Human Resources & Risk Management

This position is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Human Resources and Risk Management team and all associated service delivery for MSO clients. This role will have the unique opportunity of building a team from the ground up and helping define the scope of services. The position is responsible for organizational development, policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Emphasis shall be on maintaining the highest level of service while working cooperatively with on-site Y staff. The incumbent ensures success by directing the day-to-day department’s operation, leading and supervising staff to achieve departmental goals while operating within established business operations and procedures.
