Boulder Teen Leadership
This teen leadership program focuses on independent growth, community building and peer-to-peer relationships. Participants will walk away with more confidence, tools to help them live as mission-driven leaders and appreciation for community engagement. Participants do service projects monthly and theme-based teambuilding and leadership workshops weekly, helping them grow as a group and as individuals. It's a balance of educational learning and interactive team building.
Lafayette Middle School Program
This middle school leadership program is focused on peer-to-peer relationship development—connecting with like-minded young people and growing confidence in communication and teamwork. It's all about fostering positive friendships and health community building—creating a foundation for long-term leadership development. Participants spend their time doing service projects and fun-focused teambuilding and leadership workshops.
Longmont Middle School Program

Teen Leadership Characteristics
- Have potential for leadership or demonstrated leadership in either school or the community.
- Have the commitment to consume and understand the material given and participate in the discussion effectively.
- Are open-minded, tolerant of divergent perspectives and opinions.
- Can balance commitment to the program and their academic studies.
- Engender the positive character, spirit and values of their school and your school community.
- Are comfortable interacting with a broad and diverse group of individuals and willing to actively participate.
- Will look at the curriculum, collateral material, meeting dates and verify that they can attend and will fully participate.
- Once a student is nominated, they will be asked to answer three essay questions to help Lead Colorado organizers get to know participants.
