Active Older Adults Seniors

The Y offers a wide variety of exercise programs for active older adults. Our exercise programs are appropriate for adults 50+, those returning to exercise and those who are new to exercise. Offerings include the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program as well as popular classes for older adults such as Moving for Better Balance and Chair Stretching.

SILVERSNEAKERS CLASSES

You do not have to be a SilverSneakers member to attend the following classes. Likewise, our SilverSneakers members can attend any Y fitness classes—not just our SilverSneakers classes.

Chair Stretching

Designed for seniors and older adults, this popular class leads you through a complete series of seated and standing stretches. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of movements designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation are the icing on the cake and help promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

SilverSneakers Classic

Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.
