Lafayette Locomotive

Hockey Club Lafayette’s inaugural Colorado Rec Hockey League season is in full swing. Playing under the name Lafayette Locomotive, our CRHL program offers an alternative to the highly competitive environment of travel hockey. We provide the family atmosphere expected from the YMCA as well as an experienced hockey leadership that will grow the culture and programming at the Carlston Ice Arena. 2019/2020 season information to be announced.

The Lafayette Locomotive name is a nod to the town’s rich railroad history that lead to the mining expansion and settlement of Colorado in the late 1800s. Lafayette’s railroads served an important role in the support of rock mines in the Rocky Mountains and built the foundation for the close-knit community that we all know and love today.

2019/2020 season information to be announced this summer.

HCL – Lafayette Locomotive Skill Development Program (10U-18U)

With an Advanced (Red), Intermediate (White) and Beginner (Blue) division at each level in the CRHL. We will have a team for every caliber of player at HC Lafayette.

Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget CRHL teams will have two practices during the week with the option for an additional practice with the Lafayette Locomotive Skill Development Program and an average of one game on the weekend according to league mandates.

All players at Squirt and PeeWee will be required to attend evaluations unless they request to be placed on the bottom division team. All Midget and Bantam players are required to attend evaluations.
