Whether you're looking for a kid-free weekend of outdoor adventure and camp nostalgia, a peaceful retreat filled with books and breathtaking fall colors, a hands-on photography workshop to sharpen your skills, or a fun-filled Family Camp complete with Halloween festivities, there's something for everyone. From glamping accommodations, campfires, hiking, paddling and stargazing to expert-led workshops and classic camp traditions, each experience is designed to help you unplug, reconnect and make lasting memories in one of Colorado's most scenic settings.

Adult Summer Camp Getaway

September 11-13, 2026 

Price: $350 per person (max capacity 200) 

Ages 21+ 

Imagine the joy, the fun and the adventure of summer camp—but just for grown-ups! YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake’s Adult Summer Camp offers a kid-free weekend of classic summer camp traditions, outdoor adventure, recreation and opportunities to reconnect with play, creativity and community. Traverse the lake-top inflatable obstacle course and the high ropes course. Paddle around the lake and hike through our 300 acres of Rocky Mountains majesty. At night, we will enjoy campfire connection on the beach and stargazing. 

Registration includes lodging Friday night through Sunday morning, meals all day Saturday as well as Sunday morning, and programming throughout the weekend. Check-in will be Friday evening; check-out will be mid-morning on Sunday. Accommodations are in the glamping tents. 

Relax & Read Getaway in the Rockies

September 19-20, 2026 

Price: $285 per person (max capacity 120) 

Ages 21+ 

A relaxing mountain retreat designed for readers, book lovers and those seeking a leisurely and rustic weekend getaway. Participants will enjoy reading time, book swaps, discussions, optional camp activities, and opportunities to connect with fellow readers during peak fall color season. When you are not binging favorite series or digging into your newest novel, our staff will offer up nature hikes, paddleboarding, canoeing and evening campfires and stargazing. 

Registration includes lodging Saturday night through Sunday morning, meals all day Saturday as well as Sunday breakfast and lunch, and programming throughout the weekend. Check-in will be Saturday late morning; check-out will be after lunch on Sunday. Accommodations are in the glamping tents.

Fall Photography Workshop Series

Session Dates: Sundays in September: Sept 6, Sept 13, Sept 20, Sept 27. 

Choose a track and attend all 4 session dates. Capacity per session: 15. 

Price: $300 per adult. $150 per child 

Child is age 5-15; Child must attend with a participating adult. 

Calling all amateur and hobby photographers! Gather with your fellow shutterbugs and capture leaf peeping season in the Rockies. Our expert photographer will offer up nature photography tips, tricks and tutorials, and participants will discover a bounty of beautiful landscapes to document. 

Bring your own cameras: For all workshops, please bring a digital camera with a manual setting (not a point and shoot). For the astrophotography workshop, please also bring a tripod and lens that is 24mm or less. Camp has a few point and shoot cameras for kiddos. 

Track options (choose one track and attend all 4 sessions in the series): 

Nature Photography Fundamentals (1:00–3:00 PM): An introductory course covering camera basics, composition, exposure and lighting. 

Intermediate Nature Photography (3:30–5:30 PM): An outdoor-focused course exploring landscape and nature photography during peak fall colors. 

Astrophotography (7:00–9:00 PM): A hands-on introduction to photographing the night sky and dark-sky environments. 

Nature to Night Bundle: Join us for the Intermediate and Astrophotography workshops and enjoy dinner in-between each session. $600 per adult. $300 per child.
