Are you ready to go beyond the trailhead? Push your limits, paddle hard, and step outside your comfort zone with Expeditions at YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake. Designed for teens seeking a true backcountry experience, Expeditions takes campers into the mountains, rivers, and wild spaces of Colorado and beyond.
Campers will build real-world outdoor skills through backpacking and backcountry travel, carrying their gear, navigating trails, setting up camp, preparing meals, filtering water, and practicing Leave No Trace principles.
Whether hiking deep into the backcountry, waking up under the stars, or paddling through whitewater rapids, every session challenges campers physically, mentally, and emotionally. Campers return to Tumbleson with stronger outdoor skills, deeper connections, and stories they’ll carry with them long after summer ends.
