Option 1: Mountain Adventure Trailblazers Camp - 6 days, 5 nights

Session 1 (June 2-7), Session 2 (June 9-14), Session 6 (July 7-12), Session 10 (Aug 4-9)

Start breaking in your hiking shoes today… because campers will spend their week at YMCA Camp Santa Maria developing rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking skills out of the basecamp of a traditional cabin. Elevate your belay skills under the close supervision of experienced instructors, get to know the trails from the dynamic perspective of your mountain bike, and connect with nature on Leave on Trace guided hikes. Teens are welcome to bring their own mountain bikes and climbing shoes, but these are not required. Our campers help create community and foster independence, resilience and confidence, and they'll learn a mountain-load of hard skills and outdoor knowledge. There will also be plenty of time for camp classics, such as hiking, tie-dye, archery, kayaking and paddleboarding, swimming and s'mores eating as well as beloved traditions, including Breakfast of Champions, opening and closing campfires, Battle for the Paddle and a bead ceremony.
