LAFAYETTE LOCOMOTIVE HOCKEY CLUB

lafayette-locomotive

Playing under the name of Lafayette Locomotive, HC Lafayette provides the family atmosphere expected from the YMCA as well as an experienced hockey leadership that will continue to grow the culture and programming at the Carlston Arena.

The Lafayette Locomotive name is a nod to the town’s rich railroad history that lead to the mining expansion and settlement of Colorado in the late 1800s. Lafayette’s railroads served an important role in the support of rock mines in the Rocky Mountains and built the foundation for the close-knit community that we all know and love today.

USA Hockey

USA Hockey

All Lafayette Locomotive players must register for a new USA Hockey membership every season (2022/2023 USA Hockey membership numbers will have a “3” as the 4th digit). 2021/2022 USA Hockey numbers may not be used. The membership fee is $45.

Register with USA Hockey

The Y adheres to USA Hockey and CAHA (Colorado Amateur Hockey Association) guidelines to build a progressive path for players and to offer a wide range of levels and options for families. USA Hockey mandates include USA Hockey registration for athletes and USA Hockey certification for head coaches. USA Hockey guidelines also include birth year requirements. The CAHA also follows the USA Hockey rules and guidelines.
