YMCA Inspire Preschool at the Cheyenne YMCA offers care for children from 3-5 years old and offers flexible scheduling options to meet every family’s needs.
At the Y, we know that children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our talented teachers deliver daily lessons that allow for exploration and individualized learning opportunities for every child. By supporting your child’s academic, social and emotional well-being, they will be set up for a lifetime of learning success.

Located inside the Cheyenne Family YMCA, we are uniquely equipped to provide our students with an amazing assortment of indoor and outdoor play opportunities with access to our gym and pool. We’re even adding new preschool enrichment activities taught by our Y sports staff! Plus, all preschool families receive a free family membership to the Y. That includes access to our fitness centers, pools, gyms and more. With the membership, you also receive discounts on sports and aquatics programs, including swim lessons.
Contact the Business Office after you have enrolled in preschool to apply for your free family membership. Please note, when you re-enroll for preschool for a new school year, you will need to reapply for your membership.
The Curriculum
Our preschool classes use Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive kindergarten-readiness program with ongoing progress monitoring components. The research-based lessons are designed to build on each child’s strengths and interests while encouraging positive teacher/child interactions. The classroom environment and daily schedule are carefully designed to enhance the curriculum as well.
Registration
Registering for our programs is quick and easy. Our online system allows you to easily register and manage your child’s activities and make payments on your account. Please note, there is an annual $60 non-refundable registration fee per child. Registration fee for DFS participants is $40 annually.

Review policies, financial assistance, care for children with disabilities, the parent handbook and more. Y financial assistance participants may register online after their financial assistance has been approved.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available to those who qualify. We know that everyone needs a little help sometimes. Financial assistance is available for membership, sports, aquatics and childcare programs. An application is required, and amounts are based on need. Information disclosed in the application is completely confidential and is reviewed only by authorized YMCA staff. Funding for the financial assistance program is provided through our Community Support Campaign.
