WAYS TO GIVE

Through the generosity of our donors, the YMCA of Northern Colorado will continue to be a champion for the increasing number of individuals, kids and families that rely on us. No matter how you choose to support the Y, your gift will be administered as you like—making the impact you want to make in your community.

Capital Development

Your support of capital projects ensures the organization has resources to serve tens of thousands of people each year.

Community Support Campaign

For a Better You. For a Better Future. For a Better Us.

One in three members and participants access Y offerings with the help of financial assistance. As a nonprofit organization, we never turn away anyone based on inability to pay.

But we need your financial support to keep that promise.

The YMCA of Northern Colorado’s Community Support Campaign takes place every year. Your gift to the Community Support Campaign ensures that all people have the opportunity to thrive — regardless of their financial resources.

HERE’S HOW YOUR DONATION TO THE YMCA OF NORTHERN COLORADO HELPS:

$25 - Gives Community & Connection

Ensures that five seniors have access to a YMCA virtual fitness class, helping them overcome isolation and stay active from the safety of their home.

$50 - Gives Nutrition

Allows a child access to nutrition and gardening programs at the Y’s Food Project Farm, helping us grow gardens and gardeners.

$100 - Gives Swim Lessons

Provides life-saving swim lessons for a low-income child. Studies show that formal swim lessons are associated with an 88% reduction in the risk of drowning in children.

$250 - Gives a Week of Day Camp

Campers learn to build confidence and resilience by challenging their abilities, and nurture new friendships with children from different walks of life.

$500 - Gives a Week of Resident Camp

Campers disconnect from technology, experience the power of nature and learn new outdoor skills in a beautiful setting.

$1,000 – Gives a Month of Preschool

Preschoolers enjoy a creative and research-based curriculum designed to build on their individual strengths and interests,

Capital Development & Other Projects

Since 1874, the YMCA of Northern Colorado has strengthened the foundations of communities along the northern Front Range of Colorado. For the last decade, we have more than doubled our impact and services for children, families, adults and seniors. Today, tens of thousands of individuals from all walks of life are served annually at our six locations: Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, Johnstown, Cheyenne and YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp in Bailey. The Y’s reach also includes countless after school care and day camp sites, pools, sports fields, gyms and more.

Capital development gifts provide the community with resources, properties and assets that make impacts long into the future. They ensure Y facilities are kept up to date, and they make sure the Y has space for life-changing programs.

The Cohagen-Platt Sports Field, Carlston Ice Arena, the Y pools, YMCA Memorial Garden and the Lafayette Y pool bubble were all made possible with capital development gifts.

The Y is currently holding a Capital Campaign to once again invest in our infrastructure and ensure YMCA facilities can serve, uplift and empower our neighbors long into the future. With the leadership of The Kellogg Organization, the YMCA of Northern Colorado is conducting a $7 million Capital Campaign to address the most pressing needs of the Boulder, Cheyenne, Lafayette and Longmont YMCAs.
